All persons entering the courtroom consent to search of their persons and all property in their possession, and there is no requirement of probable cause to search any person or property in the courtroom.
Courtroom Rules and Attire
- No smoking or use of tobacco products
- No loud noises or talking
- No weapons of any type
- No cell phones
- No unattended or unruly children
- No food, beverages, or chewing gum
- No approaching the judge's bench unless directed to do so
- No propping of feet or sitting on tables, benches or railings
- No gestures, facial expressions, or sounds indicating approval or disapproval
- No inappropriate attire such as:Bare feet, shorts, cut-offs, low-cut blouses or tops, miniskirts, saggy pants or exposed undergarments, tank tops, clothing with offensive words or pictures
- No hats, caps or bandanas
- No recording devices of any kind
Violations of any of the above may result in the defendant being removed from the courtroom and the case being reset
